Bainton, Jennifer

Jennifer Bainton, MSPT, graduated from the UCSF/SFSU Graduate Program in Physical Therapy in 1999. She has worked as a Physical Therapist in the Northern Nevada region for the past five years in a variety of settings, including acute care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing and outpatient neuro. Jennifer has had specialized training in the treatment of adults with hemiplegia from a stroke or brain injury, from introductory through advanced courses, under the teachings of Waleed Al-Oboudi M.S. OTR/L, who is the originator of the Neuro-IFRAH® approach and of the Neuro-IFRAH® Organization. In August of 2004, Jennifer completed the Neuro-IFRAH Instructor® Training course under Waleed Al-Oboudi. After becoming an Neuro-IFRAH Instructor®, Jennifer, Don Duzenack and Amy Duzenack started the Stroke And Brain Injury Rehabilitation (SABIR) Institute in Reno, Nevada. The SABIR Institute offers Introductory, Intermediate and the 98 hour Neuro-IFRAH® Certification Course in the Treatment and Management of Adults with Hemiplegia from a Stroke or Brain Injury to licensed Occupational and Physical Therapists, COTAs and PTAs. SABIR also provides specialized treatment to persons who have has a stroke or brain injury.
