Awad, Amira
Biography: Amira Awad, MOT, OTR/L received her BS in Psychology (Biological Emphasis) from University of California, Davis in 1993. She received her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt College in 1997. Amira has worked as an Occupational Therapist in California for the past 7 years. She has experience treating individuals with adult hemiplegia from stroke and brain injury in a variety of settings throughout the continuum of patient care; including, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, and acute care. Amira has had extensive training under the instruction of Waleed Al-Oboudi, the originator and author of Neuro-IFRAH® (Neuro-Integrative Functional Rehabilitation And Habilitation). She is currently practicing occupational therapy at UC Irvine Medical in Orange, California in an acute care and acute rehab setting continuing to treat stroke and brain injury patients.
